Hair Colour Products

Do you still like your hair color? Do you want to change your look and are considering a different color? If so, then how lucky you are that you can do this so easily with the many hair color products available on the market today. Before you go ahead and actually make the change though, you should know that there are possible side effects associated with hair dying. One of these is a reaction to the color, which can actually occur quite some time after you have dyed your hair.  Aside from reactions, you can also suffer premature aging of the hair, and sometimes skin conditions are caused as a result of using inappropriate hair color products or due to improper use of the products. Its important to be aware of the possible side effects, and ensure that you check the quality of hair color products that you use. Try to stay away from cheap products which will only cause you trouble.

Anyway when referring to hair color products two things are generally implied: hair color products which are for hair dying only and hair color products which are actually designed to protect yourself against adverse reactions and recondition the state of artificially colored hair. Hair color products are typically divided based on the length of time they have effects on

colored hair. Thus we can speak of four common classifications of hair coloring and, consequently, of hair color products: temporary, semi-permanent, demi-permanent and permanent. Among the hair color products, hair lighteners such as bleaches can be regarded as a sub-set of permanent hair coloring products, since their effects are actually definitive.

As most people want this kind of change to be only temporary, the working mechanism of hair color is interesting and something you should understand. The pigment molecules in temporary hair color products are large and, therefore, do not penetrate the cuticle layer, allowing only a coating of the hair which may be removed by shampooing. The penetration and color strength of temporary hair color products usually gets improved through the application of a bleaching before the application of the hair color products. For temporary coloring of your hair you must know that there are temporary hair color products available in various forms – shampoos, gels, sprays, rinses, foams, and others. Temporary hair color products are typically used by people in order to get brighter, more vibrant shades or colors such as orange or red, that may be difficult to achieve with semi-permanent and permanent hair color.
